This paper is about Phillip Enright on a heroes journey. I think Phillip had completed the heroes journey by having a mentor and surviving on his own for a while. He was a blind boy and didn't give up even after his mentor passed away.

Phillip had no choice but to leave curacao. His mother made him. His parents had discussed it with him about leaving, that's the threshold. Phillip and his mom leave Curacao by getting on the S.S. Hato. This is where his journey begins.

Phillip and Timothy get stuck on a raft for three days in the carribean sea. The S.S. Hato got torpedoed by a German U-boat. Timothy became his mentor by teaching him new things. Phillip changed by getting slapped. I think that was a good lesson for him though.

Phillip got saved by a boat. the smoke signal was seen by a plane and they told a boat to got to the cay. Timothy became less predjudice. He learned how to survive on an island on his own, blind. I think Timothy changed Phillip into a better person. Phillip is more mature.

I explained about Phillip and how he went through the heroes journey. Phillip completed the journey by completing all the stages. He went through a lot.
