i am doing the hero's journey for the Odyssey. i think this will get me the honors credit i want. as i will honor all 4 years of high school.
for the separation i will tell you then stages and events. The calling is when Agamemdon asks Ody to come help and fight with him. When he looks at his newly born child he realizes the threshold. when he departs from troy you have the descent.
now i will tell you about the initiation. I belive the abyss is when he is in the uncharted waters of the ocean or sea. His mentor is the god athena. By the end of the trip he has completly transformed into a great person.
The return is the final stage. He was created into a very wise and mature old man. Now he doesnt take anything for granite.
Hence, the heros journey for the odyssey was a great and strenous trip for odysseus and his man. we will never dorget the oddysey...
